Access the boot menu for V-130 using Novo button
Problem
You need to access the boot menu to check a hard drive is detected or to run a Windows 10 recovery using a supplied CD.

Explanation
The Novo button is often located on the side or bottom panel of the laptop. It will look like a reset button and may require a straightened paperclip to depress it.
Applications
- Booting to external USB media
- Troubleshooting other boot problems
Resolution
- Make sure the laptop is turned off but plugged into power.
- Now press the Novo button with the straightened paperclip, the laptop should respond by opening a boot menu.
- The laptop should then show an option to select "boot menu".
Review the list of choices and see if something like HDD or hard disk appears in the list. - If you have a Windows 10 boot CD please open the CD tray and insert the CD, then close the tray.
- Once inserted press ENTER to boot from the CD.
The boot menu will show as below illustration. Use the arrow keys to select the “ATAPI CD: PLDS DVD-RW “ and press ENTER to boot from this drive.
