Acer Swift 5 shows fully charged but does not start

Problem

The Acer Switft 5 laptop does not power up when pressing the powe button even when battery is fully charged (when plugged in to mains).

Resolution

This problem indicates that the reset button on the bottom panel of the laptop needs to be held for about 20 seconds to release static charge.
