Apple - Change Mac OS login password
Problem
A Mac OS user wishes to change their current logon password.
Applies to

Resolution
Macs shipped fom Sight & Sound with applications installed by our workshop will have been shipped with a four digit password. A customer after initially logging into their computer may change the password for their account using the steps below.
IMPORTANT
When changing the password please take care to remember it so you are not locked out of your machine.
- Click Apple symbol (top left), then click System Settings in the menu.
- Scroll type seaarch Users and then click Users and Groups in the left hand category list.
- Then click the information symbol (I) to the right of your account name.
- Click Change button, you are prompted to enter the current password and the new password to change to.
- Click OK button to confirm changes.
