Asus - Loss of Wi-Fi access after updates on A509JA laptop

Problem

The Asus A509JA laptop loses Wi-Fi capability with out warning.

Resolution

A porblem may develop on an Asus A509JA laptop where a faulty BIOS update pushed 22/05/2023 which causes the loss of Wi-Fi.  To resolve the problem it is necessary to download and run the installers for two updates to fix the problem.  After installation of the below linked packages Wi-Fi reception should be restored.
