Braille eMotion - Resets

Problem

a Braille eMotion display is not operating as expected and you need to reset the device.

  1. Braille eMotion

Resolution

One can use the reset options to set the display back to default settings as a troubleshooting measure if it is not working as expected.  See the options below:

Settings Reset

The settings reset will reset your settings back to default values but it will not erase user data.

  1. Press F1 to open the Settings menu.
  2. Then navigate to the option Initialize Braille eMotion 40 Options, then press ENTER, or press letter C whilst in Settings menu.
  3. You will be prompted to confirm the reset, use SPACEBAR to cycle the options Yes or No, then press ENTER.

Power on soft reset

If you are unable to navigate the menu system please use these steps.

  1. Power off Braille eMotion if it is currently running. 
  2. From powered off state press and hold HOME key whilst powering on the unit.
