BrailleSense 6 – Remove redundant profiles to fix wi-fi stability problem


Problem

A BrailleSense 6 customer has problems with unstable connection that drops frequently but the reception appears to be either good or excellent.


Applies to

  1. BrailleSense 6 (H632B)
  2. BrailleSense 6 Mini (H620B)

Resolution

  1. A potential resolution is to remove redundant wi-fi connection profiles to fix the problem.
  2. Verify the current network connection using Space-n (dots 1-3-4-5) and make note of the name assigned for the wireless connection (this connection should not be removed).
  3. If Wi-Fi is turned off press Backspace-1-4-5-6 to turn it on.

Menu Path:  Settings > Setup Internet


Detailed steps

  1. Press F1 to open Start menu, then press Space-4 or space-1 to select Settings and press ENTER.
  2. Press space-4 or space-1 to locate Setup Internet and press ENTER.
  3. In Setup Internet dialogue press TAB (F3) to move to Advanced button and press ENTER.
  4. Then use space-4 or space-1 to focus on the entry for the redundant profile for another unused network if it exists.
  5. Then press TAB (F3) to move to Remove button, then press ENTER.
The selected profile will then be deleted.
