BrailleSense 6 – Send a document attachment in Email app

Problem

A BrailleSense 6 user needs to attach a file such as a word processor document via email.

Applies to

  1. BrailleSense 6
  2. BrailleSense 6 Mini

Resolution

These instructions will assist a user who has created a file such as a word processor document they have saved and wish to send to an email recipient as an attachment.

  1. Create a new email as normal, then when ready press ENTER-F to open the File Attachment list.  
  2. If the list shows no files press BACKSPACE to move up a folder level until you encounter the folder level the document is located.  .
  3. Then use space-4 or space-1 to locate the folder that contains the document to attach, then select the document and press ENTER, the document will be added to the email.
  4. When you have finished making amendments to the message send it as normal

Note
You can also use the key chord SPACE-1-2-5-6 at the file select stage to jump straight to the list of accessible drives and navigate from there to find the document to send.
