This document covers feature updates released for Caption.Ed web product.
We'll automatically add the speaker's names to a transcript when you export it as word doc or text file. Export any transcript to see for yourself.
If a webpage makes a sound, you can caption it! Whether it’s an online video, podcast or lecture recording, you can now capture it using Caption.Ed on Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Click here to give it a go in a new browser tab.
Now, when playing back a session, you can drag the audio scrub bar to skip and rewind the audio. You can still use the playback controls and click a word in the transcript to change the audio. Just revisit any session (without video) to see it in action.
We’ve made it quicker to rename speakers in your transcript - two clicks, and you’re done. Revisit any sessions to try it out.
Add your Caption.Ed Scribe to Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet calls to accurately capture who is saying what during online and hybrid meetings.
Discard Sessions 29/09/2022
Users can now discard a captioning session immediately after it's been captured, which means that your Caption.Ed library stays a lot tidier and you only keep data you want to keep.
2FA For All
Two Factor Authentication is now available for individual users, which means that students can switch on 2FA in their account and better protect their digital footprint.
New Onboarding
We've improved the onboarding for new users when they sign up to Caption.Ed. The new flow makes it super simple for students to get up and running with Caption.Ed in no time at all!
