Openbook - Chang home folder
Problem
a user needs to change from using the default home folder to save documents to another location in the file system.
Resolution
By default Openbook will save any user docuemnts in trhe path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Freedom Scientific\OpenBook\9.0\Users\default
This can prove difficult to find so a remedy is to relocate the home folder to somewhere more convenient to access.
Change home location
- Press ALT+G to open Settings menu and then select General settings.
- In the General Settings dialogue and press ALT+B or use TAB to navigate to the Browse button and activate it.
- In the dialogue press ALT+I to open the Look In combo box and press ALT+DOWN ARROW to open the box.
- Use the cursor keys to find the drive onto which you store you documents and user file and press TAB.
- In the file list select the Users folder and press ENTER.
- Then select the user profile under which you are logged in and press ENTER.
- Then locate the Documents folder you wish to save your OpenBook files in.
- When are at the desired location press TAB to reach OK button and press spacebar on it.
- Then press TAB to locate the OK button and activate that in the dialogue.
- Then press ALT+G and press ENTER on Save Settings, then press TAB to reach the Save button and press ENTER to overwrite your user settings.
