DBT – Unable to emboss from Microsoft Word using Swift

Problem

A Duxbury customer is unable to emboss directly from Microsoft Word, or option to install Swift was declined at install.

Applies to

  1. Duxbury Braille Translator (DBT) for Windows

Resolution

  1. During installation of DBT software the swift component is installed, this allows the customer to emboss a document from within Microsoft Word.   If Swift is not working you may be able to fix this by re-installing DBT.
  2. If a DBT installation is version 12.2 sr1 or later a separate compatible download for SWIFT 5.5 is also available.  For further information please visit:  https://www.duxburysystems.com/swift.asp
