DSA – Installing or reinstalling Microsoft Office applications


Problem

A DSA student needs to install/reinstall Microsoft Office applications.

 

Detail

In most cases a Microsoft Office license is provided free through enrollment at an academic institution for the duration of study.  

 

Resolution

  1. Please have to hand your academic email/password credentials handy, then with  browser visit:  https://setup.office.com and sign in.
  2. Once signed in click the app launcher grid icon in the top left of the page, then click Install Apps button near the top right.
  3. Run the installer and follow the instructions to complete installation.
  4. Open an Office application and when prompted sign in using your academic credentials to license the software.
