Duxbury – Creating a basic Welsh Braille document

Problem

A customer needs to emboss a Welsh language document.

Resolution

These instructions assume that the source document is Microsoft Word with the appropriate font (eg. Lucida Sans) and has the accents for W and Y characters inserted as Unicode characters, see: https://www.duxburysystems.com/documentation/dbt$12.1/language_translation_tables/welsh.htm

  1. Open Duxbury, then press CONTROL+O and open the Microsoft Word document created in Welsh language into Duxbury.
  2. When prompted use first letter navigation and ARROW keys to select the Braille language template Cymraeg  (Welsh) - UK Formatting and press ENTER.
  3. Make any Braille formatting changes required.
  4. When ready press CONTROL+T to Translate to Welsh contracted Braille, then press CONTROL+E to emboss the document.
