FS Install - Setup posts the error "You cannot install this product..."

Problem

A customer is installing a Freedom Scientific product when they recieve an error that halts installation posting "You Cannot install this product on this platform. "


Applies to
  1. JAWS 
  2. ZoomText 
  3. Fusion

Resolution

In July 2021 Freedom Scientific announced withdrawal of OS installation support for versions above 2021.  The following operating systems are no longer supported by the latest product version.

  1. Windows 8.1 and 8.0
  2. Windows 7.0 and earlier
  3. Windows Server 2016 or earlier

If you are installing on a supported Windows version but get this error it may indicate that you are installing a product that requires Windows ARM 31 support.  Currently this is only available for JAWS.
