Focus – Typical battery life

Focus – Typical battery life

Problem

A Focus customer wishes to know what the expected battery life would be.

Applies to

  1. All Focus series displays

Resolution

  1. The Focus series 5 series Braille display has a lithium Ion rechargeable battery permanently installed.
  2. When fully charged the expected battery lie is approximately 20 hours from full charge.  Please bear in mind that  if not fully charged that time may be shorter.
  3. Due to ageing of the chemical structure in the battery the capacity over a number of years will degraded as it loses capacity.  This means that the battery life before requiring charge may gradually become less.
