FS Auth - Check ILM authorization for a Freedom Scientific product

FS Auth - Check ILM authorization for a Freedom Scientific product

Problem

A customer needs to check the status of ILM authorization for their Freedom Scientific product.

Applies to:

  1. JAWS
  2. ZoomText
  3. Fusion

Resolution

  1. In general the process of authorization consists of checking that the installed authorization for a Freedom Scientific product is sufficient to meet the requirements of the software when it checks the authorization at launch.
  2. If the authorization detected is for version that is equal or greater than that for the currently running software authorization will be successful and the product will run normally under its license.
  3. If the authorization detected is for a lower version than the currently running software an error will be posted indicating that the authorization is for an earlier version of the product currently running, and will continue in demo mode only.
The information below will provide ways you can find out what version the authorization is valid for for ILM Authorization.
