FS Support - Enable dump controls for gathering enhanced crash data

Problem

A customer using a Freedom Scientific product JAWS/ZoomText/Fusion software has a problem that involves a crash they need to gather enhanced data for.

Resolution

  1. These steps require that the customer download MSDumpControls from the following link:  Microsoft Dump Controls
  2. Unpack the ZIP folder by focusing on the ZIP file and press SHIFT+F10, then select Extract All.
  3. Follow the instructions in the wizard to open the folder's contents.  Three will be two REG files that allow one to enable or disable dump information.
  4. To enable dump controls click or press ENTER on EnableDumps.reg, this will import the necessary registry entries to allow this to work.
  5. When you no longer wish to have this extra information being created click or press ENTER on the DisableDumps.reg which will disable this function.
