Global Autocorrect – Unable to update installed software

Problem

A Global Autocorrect user encounters a problem when they attempt to oupdate their software.  An error is displayed indicates a problem and the user should try again later.

Resolution

  1. We have been notified by the developers Texthelp that the problem is due to their transition from the old LexAble security certificate to a new Texthelp certificate.  During this transition they turned off auto-update to avoid problems.
  2. An update with a new certificate is available from the release of Global Autocorrect V5 (February 2024).
  3. For earlier versions please use the download link in order to update pre v5 installations:  www.lexable.com/getgac
