JAWS – Use Gmail (standard view) with JAWS screen reader
Problem
A customer needs to access Gmail web (Standard view) interface with JAWS.
Notes
- Google announced retirement of their basic HTML
view after January 2024.
- JAWS does support the now default standard view but is a slightly different experience to the HTML view.
- Those customers who find the new Gmail standard view difficult may well need to consider using a conventional Windows email client instead for improved ease of use.
