Index - Emboss test pages

Porblem

You wish to test the output of an Index V2/V3/V4 embosser by running one of the built in test page routines.

Applies to

  • Index embossers V2/V3/V4

Resolution

Please choose one of matching embosser generation to start the embossing test. 

Index V2

Hammer test - Hold the Online button as powering it on and wait for the beep.


Index V3

  1. Hammer test - Press Help then Online.
    Embosser information in Braille - Help then Normal.
    Embosser information in text - Help then Help.

Index V4

  1. Press Menu key.
  2. Arrow down to Option, press OK.
  3. Arrow down to Emboss Without Computer, press OK.
  4. Arrow through the options and press OK on desired embossing test sequence. The options include:
  • Braille manual - emboss the entire Index manual in Braille. Useful to test embossing a long document & regular braille.
  • Hammer test - will test all solenoids so you can tell if one is faulty.
  • Embosser information - shows information including serial & firmware version. (You can alternatively hear this information by just pressing Help instead)
