Index - V4 paper feed/paper jam problems

Problem

An Index V4 embosser user encounteres a problem with paper feed or paper jam issue whilst embossing.


Applies to

  1. Index V4 Basic D
  2. Index Everest V4

Resolution

This problem may be due to the optical paper sensors being obscured (usually by paper debris).  Use a cotton duster to clean the sensors (indicated in red below) to resolve the problem.



Notes
Note
The Everest has one sensor, but it is placed behind the embosser head. Using compressed air to clean this will usually clear the sensor of paper dust.
