Installing an optional micro SD card into Smartvision 2 phone

Information

The Kapsys SmartVision 2 allows for insertion of an optional micro SD card for user data. Below are instructions on how this can be installed by the user.

  • Music and other media files

Steps

  1. If the phone is on please power off the SmartVision 2 phone using the top mounted power button.
  2. Turn phone over so back is facing you.
  3. Then run a finger along the left side panel of the phone in its current orientation until you find a small notch in the side of the case.
  4. User a fingernail on the notch to gently pry up the back panel.
  5. Work around the rest of the phone gently prying up the back panel to release the back panel clasps.
  6. With the back panel of the phone removed the SIM and SD card tray slot is just below the camera and then to the right.
  7. The SD card and SIM trays are stacked on to of eachother. If the phone SIM is in place there is no need to remove it.
  8. Orientate the SD card so that the metal contacts are facing down and the bottom lip is facing upwards at the bottom of the card.
  9. Then grip the bottom lip of the card and gently align the card with the metal retainer at the top of the metal slot and gently slide it in.
  10. Then replace the back cover and power up the phone.
  11. When the phone is on go to Applications > File Manager and press ENTER.
  12. On the next screen you should see both the internal storage but also the storage for SD card.
