Research It

1. This feature is now retired and development has ceased.  It allows JAWS 2024 and below users request information from online sources to brought to the user, this includes information such as.
2. Research It is a query tool first introduced in JAWS 11 which makes it fast and simple to look up information using a predefined set of lookup modules.  Any data that is sent externally is the query made by the user.  The feature is still present but is no longer being developed.  It allows users to make a simple text enquiry and than rapidly receive information using a single keyskroke from specific websites or online databases.  Documentation on how these rulesets are created is here:  https://freedomscientific.com/Content/Documents/Other/Research-It-Creating-Rule-Sets-for-JAWS.doc
3. The only information supplied by the user is a query.
   

Voice Assistant

1. This feature allows JAWS users to speak a voice query to carry out a specific function within JAWS/ZoomText/Fusion.  The voice datat query are sent to OpenAI (ChatGPT – Enterprise API) and Anthropic (Claude – Enterprise).  The enterprise APIs explicitly prevent data being retained, and only with a specific prompt relevant to the request. This is all communicated over a TLS connection.
   

PictureSmart

1. This is a feature that allows a user to submit an image to ChatGPT or Google Gemini to obtain a verbal description or analysis to be returned to the user in speech.
   

JAWS Tandem

1. This is a feature available in JAWS/Fusion that allows one JAWS to request help from another JAWS user to help with a user query using remote access.  A related feature called Tandem direct allows users within the same organisation to provide remote access to their system only when suitably authorised by license.  This uses the VNC protocol.

FS Support tool

1. The FS Support Tool is designed to be run on command to provide logs and other information relating to a Freedom Scientific product for the purpose of technical troubleshooting.   This tool only runs on command the resulting information can be viewed if required.
   

AI Page Explorer

1. This is an AI assisted feature from JAWS 2025 and later that allows the user to ask questions about a web page they are currently viewing.  The feature is available to assist with querys regarding page navigation which may be particularly useful when visiting the page for the first time to use if most efficiently.

AI Labeller

1. This feature allows the JAWS user to use AI to provide custom text labels for user interface elements. Images may be sent to Google Gemini or ChatGPT for analysis.
   

Error reporting and Anonymous Usage Data Collection

1. These are only deigned to help with collection or diagnostic data to assist with problems relating to the working of Freedom Scientific products.

FS Companian

1. This is an online AI chat bot hosted on the web. Users may access this feature via the Help menu in the JAWS/ZoomText/Fusion by activating the item Vispero Companion which opens  browser to the location:  https://fscompanion.freedomscientific.com/ 
2. It is intended soley to provide answers on using Freedom Scientific JAWS/ZoomText/Fusion produdcts and is therefore has a limited in the scope sole for that purposse.
