JAWS - Multiple links are announced on the same line

Problem

When using the arrow keys in a browser JAWS will speak more than one link on the same line rather than them being on individual lines.


Resolution

  1. Open the browser you normally use and then press JAWSKey+F2 and select “Settings Centre” and press ENTER.
  2. Then “Settings Centre” will launch; type in “presentation mode” and press down arrow to reach “simple layout”.
  3. Now press spacebar to toggle the option to simple document presentation.
  4. Press TAB key to reach “Apply” and then press SPACEBAR followed by ENTER.
