Problem
A customer with Focus display has been using it with Windows Narrator. After shutting down Narrator and going back to JAWS the Braille display no longer appears to work any more.
Resolution
A condition is known to exist where if Narrator is configured to use the Focus display then it no longer is available to JAWS and does not appear in Device manager window. To resolve this you can download a utility to release the Focus display.

if possible try another cable in case this has gone bad.
Method 2 - Removing Braille support for Narrator
- Right click Start button and choose "Apps and Features".
- n "Apps and Features" choose "Optional Features".
- In the list click “Accessibility Braille Support” and then click "Remove" button.
- if JAWS is running shut it down, then disconnect and reconnect the USB for the Braille display.
- Then restart JAWS and Braille should now be working with JAWS.
Method 3 - Disable Braille support in Narrator

- Press Windows key to open the Start menu, then search Device Manager and press ENTER launch the result.
- Press the TAB key to navigate to the devices tree view.
