JAWS – Perform non-contiguous file selection in Windows Explorer
Problem
A customer may have a collection of files in a particular folder from which on only a few needed that are not all next to one another.
Resolution
Use the steps to carry out non-contiguous file selection.
- Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder with the files to be selected.
- Navigate to the first file that needs to be selected.
- Then press CONTROL+DOWN arrow to navigate to the next file to be selected and stop.
- Then press CONTROL+SPACEBAR to select the file.
- Repeat step 3 to select the next file and select it until all files are selected.
- Then press carry out copy/cut operation as usual on the selected files.
