This document provides steps to allow screen reader users to create a desktop icon for the Windows Volume panel application to allow easy adjustment of levels.

Steps

Use the steps below to create a desktop shortcut to the Windows volume panel applicattion.

1. Press WIDNOWS+D or WINDOWS+M to focus on the desktop.
2. Press CONTROL+SPACEBAR to deselect any focused icon.
3. Then press shift+F10 to open the context menu and arrow to New and press ENTER.
4. Then use arrow keys to select Shortcut and press ENTER.
5. In the edit box provide the application name as below:
   sndvol.exe
6. Then press ENTER to move to the next step and enter the name for the icon eg. Volume Panel and press ENTER again.

Testing

1. Press WINDOWS+D or WINDOWS+M and press the first letter of your new icon.
2. Once focused on the item press ENTER to open the application to adju
