This document provides steps to allow screen reader users to create a desktop icon for the Windows Volume panel application to allow easy adjustment of levels.
Steps
Use the steps below to create a desktop shortcut to the Windows volume panel applicattion.
- Press WIDNOWS+D or WINDOWS+M to focus on the desktop.
- Press CONTROL+SPACEBAR to deselect any focused icon.
- Then press shift+F10 to open the context menu and arrow to New and press ENTER.
- Then use arrow keys to select Shortcut and press ENTER.
- In the edit box provide the application name as below:
sndvol.exe - Then press ENTER to move to the next step and enter the name for the icon eg. Volume Panel and press ENTER again.
Testing
- Press WINDOWS+D or WINDOWS+M and press the first letter of your new icon.
- Once focused on the item press ENTER to open the application to adju
