JAWS – Microsoft Power BI object import problem
Problem
A JAWS customer may encounter a problem using Microsoft Power BI when attempting to import an object from an Excel document.

Detail
In Microsoft Power BI the customer successfully selects an
Excel file, after selecting the file the application posts a new dialogue with
checkboxes to select the object to
import. At this point JAWS is
unable to check or uncheck items for the objects to import.
Resolution
Two workarounds have been identified that may help with this problem:
Workaround 1 - Use pass keystroke through
- With the object selection dialogue open Press JAWSKey+3
on the number row.
- Then press SPACEBAR on itt to activate the
checkbox and continue working as normal.
Workaround 2 - Disable Virtual PC cursor
- Press JAWSKey+Z
to disable Virtual PC cursor.
- Then press spacebar to check the item in the dialogue.
- Then press
JAWSKey+Z to restore the Virtual PC Cursor. and continue working as normal.
