JAWS – Move mail folders in Outlook


Problem

A JAWS user working with Microsoft would like to move the location of a particular user created mail folder to another location within the Outlook folder structure. 


Resolution

  1. Press CONTROL+Y and use arrow keys to locate the folder to be moved, then press ENTER to select it.
  2. Then press SHIFT+F6 until you get back to folder tree view with your chosen folder highlighted.
  3. Then press SHIFT+F10 to open context menu and use UP/DOWN ARROW  keys to highlight Move folder and press ENTER.
  4. In the dialogue tree view use the arrow keys to select the new parent folder under wish to store your moved folder and press ENTER.
