Note
An attached TWAIN compatible scanner or all in one printer must be connected and powered on for the unit to be selected. This includes the Freedom Scientific Pearl camera unit. Please be aware not all units have a TWAIN interface, if a TWAIN interface is not available JAWS will not be able to operate the scanner unit because it is incompatible.

- Open JAWS window using JAWSKey+J and press ALT+U for Utilties menu.
- Then press DOWN ARROW key until you reach Convenient OCR and press ENTER to access the sub menu.
- Then use ARROW keys to select the option Cameras and Scanners then press ENTER.
- Press ALT+DOWN Arrow to open the Camera and Scanners drop down list.
- Then use UP/DOWN ARROW keys to select the scanner source. Look for entries that show the word TWAIN anywhere in their listing and use that setting first.
