JAWS – Update Microsoft Edge Browser

Problem

You have a problem using Microsoft Edge web browser.  One option is to try to force Edge to update in case that is the cause of the problem. 


Resolution

Use the method appropriate to the customer’s need below.


Method 1 – Using the mouse

  1. Click the three dot menu button (top right)
  2. Then choose Help > About Google Chrome.

Method 2 – Using the keyboard

  1. Press ALT+F to open the menu.
  2. Press up arrow to reach Help and press ENTER to open the sub menu.
  3. In the sub menu select About Microsoft Edge and press ENTER. After a short while JAWS should announce that Microsoft Edge has updated.
  4. If JAWS did not speak you can use the Virtual PC Cursor to confirm the version it currently is on.
