Problem
A JAWS user who has received an email with embedded images encounters a problem when using the Picturesmart feature to capture any information from the message window.

Resolution
When opening an Outlook email that contains an image, the user attempts to focus the virtual PC cursor on the image of interest and invokes the PictureSmart shortcut but gets an error stating he current control is not an image. Please see below a workaround to the problem below:
- Press ENTER to on the desired email as a new window.
- Press control+R to open the reply window.
- Then use UP/DOWN ARROW keys locate the image of interest.
- Then press JAWSKey+SPACEBAR, P, C to activate PictureSmart
on the currently focused image. JAWS will post a window of results.
- Press UP/DOWN ARROW
keys to browse result window. When done press ESCAPE to exit the results
window and press ESCAPE to close the open message window.
Note
If Outlook has been set to only reply in plain text the above instructions will not work due to the image being removed.
