JAWS - Using Gmail webmail interface (Standard mode)

Problem

A customer wishes to find information about using Gmail web mail interface with JAWS.

Detail

Until recently Gmail supported two user interfaces; standard version (which is the default web app) and HTML version (which is being phased out).  Due to the above users accustomed to using the HTML version may face a learning curve as they adjust to the standard version with JAWS.

  1. Standard view is the default view for Gmail web interface with all its features.  The alternative HTML interface is now in the process of being withdrawn from use by Google.
