JAWS - Virtual PC cursor state not recalled switching back to browser from another window

Problem

A JAWS user encounters a problem in JAWS 2022 where the virtual PC cursor state (on) is not retained after switching away from Microsoft Edge and back again.


Applies to

  1. JAWS 2022 with Microsoft Edge (101.0.1210.39)

Resolution

  1. In JAWS open Quick Settings (JAWSKey+V).
  2. Then navigate to the setting Virtual Cursor On/Off based on Browser Tabs and press SPACEBAR to enable it.
