K1000 - Scanner not detected error with HP MFP-M232-M237 all in one scanner/printer

Problem

A K1000 customer is unable to scan using their MFP-M232-M237 unit with K1000. A message is displayed saying "scanner not detected".


Resolution

  • Please download the full drivers from this page and proceed through the setup to make sure the drivers are fully installed.
  • After installing the drivers one must then set and test K1000 software to ensure all are working.
  1. Open the following page and download the full driver setup:

  2. After downloading run through the setup to install drivers. During this setup the customer will need to press the information button on the HP unit.
  3. Direct the customer to press the information button, illustration below may help guide them to the correct button to press. Once setup is completed you can then set up and test K1000 scanning.
  4. Open K1000 then click Settings > Scanning.
  5. Then set the scanner source to HP LJ M232-M237 (Net) (WIA).
  6. Click Apply and then OK in the dialogue.
  7. Click Settings > Save Settings.
  8. Then save settings as Default and click OK.
  9. Test the scanner (repeat test 2 or 3 times to confirm all is well).
