K1000 - Loss of activation v12
Problem
A user running K1000 version 12 encounters a problem where the software appears to have lost activation.

Resolution
The most likely cause is if the system time is changed, for instance for Daylight Savings Time, the Kurzweil 1000 activation may be lost.
Method 1 - Install update patch for version 12.0
This issue only occurs in Kurzweil 1000 v12. Please use this link to download the patch:
Method 2 - Reactivate K1000
This can be resolved by reactivating again as normal, if the update patch has not been applied install this to prevent the problem in future.
Tip
We have noticed that versions beyond 12.0 can be affected by this even though it is theoretically fixed for 14.0 and above. Therefore it may be neceesary to apply updates and reactivate in these situations.
Method 3 - Completely remove k1000 and reinstall
Uninstall K1000 in Windows via Install Apps within Settings.
Locate and then run the installer to reinstall K1000.
