JAWS - Manually reset JAWS notification history or rules
Problem
You wish to temporarily reset the notification history and rules for testing the feature.
Resolution.
- Press Windows+R and enter the command below and press ENTER:
%AppData% - Then navigation through to the path similar to this but accounting for the username of the currently logged in JAWS user eg: "C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Freedom Scientific\JAWS\2022\Settings\nofitications"
- In this folder you will find two files:
Notification.rules.json
Notifications.json
- Take a copy of these files and store them somewhere safe then delete them from the above location.
- You will now have to restart JAWS for changes to take effect.
