The developer of Mathtype have a new update for all MathType 7 users they can use to update their software  Please see details below:

Due to recent server technology changes, users on older versions may encounter issues when renewing their subscriptions. Specifically, MathType could incorrectly evaluate their product key as expired. Updating to version 7.9.1 resolves this issue and ensures a smooth user experience.
