MB Brailler Tutor – Checking battery charge status (keyboard and main unit)

Problem

You wish to check the battery level status for MB Tutor main unit or keyboard.

Resolution

• When powered on the main unit should automatically speak battery level status.
• The status can also be manually determined for the main unit and the keyboard using the steps below.

Main MB Tutor unit

Action: Press chord M (space-dots 1,3,4)
Result: MB Tutor will speak battery status information

Keyboard unit

Action: Press chord K (space-dots 2,4,5,6)
Result: Beep codes are emitted from built in speaker

  • lower pitch beeps sounding first:
  • 4 short - the battery is charged in more than 80%
  • 3 short - the battery is charged in more than 50% but less than 80%
  • 2 short - the battery is charged in more than 20% but less than 50%
  • 1 long - the battery is charged less than 20%
  • higher pitch beeps sounding after the lower pitch beeps:
  • single - charging
  • battery fully charged
Note

The keyboard beeps will sound even if there is no connection to the main unit.
