Microsoft - Adjust display scaling to 100 percent

Problem

Technical support have recommended adjusting Windows display scaling to 100 percent to fix a problem typically to help with problems associated with running ZoomText and Fusion..

Resolution

The steps below may resolve one of the two scenarios detailed below:
  1. Some problems particularly with software products like screen readers and screen magnifiers work best with display scaling set to the default of 100 percent instead of a custom scaling value.
  2. Alternatively, some parts of the Windows interface do not fit well onto the display, adjusting display scaling to 100 percent may also help.

Windows 11

  1. Click Start > Settings > System > Display > Scale.
  2. Then click scale.
  3. Then enter 100 and click the button with the checkmark symbol.
  4. Then click the link above to Sign Out Now.
  5. Then sign back in for the changes to take effect.

Windows 10

  1. Click Start > Settings > System > Display.
  2. Scroll down to the heading Scale And Layout.
  3. Then click the drop down labelled "Change the size of text , apps and other items" and adjust to 100%.
  4. Close apps and sign out and then back into Windows for the changes to take effect.
