Microsoft - Guide to using Snip and Sketch app

Problem

A customer needs to use the snip and sketch tool to take and annotate screenshots when engaged in troubleshooting problems.

Resolution


  1. Line up your intended capture situation eg, error message from application.
  2. Then press SHIFT+WINDOWS+S to invoke the screen capture utility.
  3. Then click with the mouse on the buttons to select the type of screen capture you need.
  4. Click the window you wish to capture, draw area you wish to capture.  The screenshot will then be taken.
  5. Click on the preview of the image that pops up to save the image.
  6. Then click Save button and save the image into a folder you can easily find.
