Microsoft – Outlook ribbon missing features


Problem

When using Outlook the ribbon is missing features or buttons are in a different layout than expected, an example of the problem is shown below:

  1. Microsoft Outlook


Resolution

  1. On some installation of Microsoft Outlook a simplified ribbon menu may be enabled.  If you have trouble finding the action you need you can revert to the old ribbon menu instead.
  2. Open the ribbon so  you can see the controls. 
  3. Right click on a blank part of the ribbon, then choose Use Classic Ribbon.
After making the change the classic ribbon should be displayed:
