Microsoft – Take a screenshot on Windows 10/11
Problem
A customer needs to take a screenshot to provide further information for support.
Resolution
- Navigate to the screen that you wish to take a picture of.
- Click Start menu and search and launch Snipping Tool.
- In the Snipping tool window choose the snipping mode for your screenshot.
- Then click the New button to start taking the screenshot.
- If you have selected Rectangular or Window mode click and dragon to choose the area or click the window to take the screenshot of.
- Then screenshot will then be taken immediately and posted to the clipboard.
- Open the document or email you wish to post the screenshot into and then right click and choose Paste in the context menu to insert the screenshot image.
