Polaris – Installing a replacement battery


Problem

A Polaris customer has purchased a replacement battery they wish to install in place of an exhausted unit. 

 

Resolution

Please see the steps below for removing the old battery and replacing it with the new battery below.

 


Removing battery

1.    Turn off and then disconnect Polaris from external power.

2.     Turn over the Polaris so bottom panel face up with the battery located on the left hand side.  

3.    Use a finger to pull the battery release lock toward the left edge of the unit.

4.    Then pull the battery out.

 


Install replacement battery

1.    With the bottom panel facing upwards align the replacement battery so that the rounded corner aligns with the rounded portion of the Polaris casing and the two small protrusions are pointing to the right.

2.    Then place the battery in the unit right side first, and then gently press down on the left side to click it into place to complete installation.

3.    Then plug Polaris into power and allow it to charge.
