JAWS - Reading speakers notes whilst running a PowerPoint presentation
Problem
A JAWS customer wishes to refer to speaker notes whist giving a Powerpoint presentation.
Detail
Speaker’s notes are a feature in PowerPoint that allows you privately refer to notes made for the presenter and do not appear in the slide.
Resolution
You must first add speaker notes to the presentation you are creating. Once those are complete you may then access those notes whilst giving the presenation.
Create speaker notes
You can use the F6 key in the main window to navigate to the speaker notes area and enter any notes you wish to associate with a given slide.
Access speaker notes in a slideshow
- Start the presentation using F5 as normal.
- When you wish to refer to speaker notes press CTRL+SHIFT+N toggle to access the speakers notes.
- When you wish to review text on the slide press CTRL+SHIFT+N to navigate back to the slide text.
