Problem
You are having problems with either charging or power your laptop with the internal battery.
Resolution
A power/battery problem may sometime be due to incorrectly installed Windows drivers for the battery component. You can try getting it to reinstall to fix the issue.
- Right click Start menu and then choose “Device Manager”.
- In “Device manager” double click “Batteries”.
- In the drop-down list look for the item “Microsoft ACPI compliant control method battery” and right click.
- Then choose the option “Uninstall” and when prompted confirm uninstall of the battery component.
- Shut down and restart your laptop. Windows will then reinstall the battery driver and you can re-test if the problem is fixed.
