Problem

Either Microsoft Office or an app communicating with it such as Dragon or ClaroRead is not interacting correctly or at all with the Office suite of applications.

Resolution

You can try repairing Microsoft office to fix the issue using the steps below.

Using a mouse

1. Right click Start button and choose Installed Apps or Apps and Features.
2. Then scroll or search the list of apps for “Microsoft office”.
3. When you find the Office installation click it and then click Modify button.
4. On the next screen click Quick Repair and then follow the instructions to complete the operation.
   
5. If the problem persists locate Microsoft Office installation, click Modify then choose Online Repair to fix the problem.

Using the keyboard

1. Press WINDOWS+X to open the shortcut menu and choose “apps and Features” or press Windows key and type the search “Apps and features”.
2. In “Apps and Features” press TAB to reach the apps search box and search for “Microsoft Office” or press TAB until you reach the apps list and scroll to “Microsoft Office” entry.
3. On the highlighted item press ENTER and then TAB to read the “Modify” button and press SPACEBAR.
4. Follow the instructions through and select either “Quick Repair” or “Online repair. If you are doing this for the first time try a “Quick Repair” first.
5. Complete the installation wizard and restart your computer.
6.  If the problem still persists you may try steps 1 through 5 then choose “Online Repair” to fix the problem.
