Replacing Mountbatten Brailler main battery

Problem:

The Mountbatten battery needs replacing with new internal main batterry.


Applies to

  1. Mountbatten Pro
  2. Mountbatten Writer
  3. Mountbatten Writer Plus
  4. Mountbatten Learning System

Resolution

  1. Locate the circular cover over the battery compartment on the right hand side of the Mountbatten.
  2. Then press the clip underneath the cover whilst sliding the cover itself upwards to the top of the Mountbatten.
  3. Once the cover has been slid upwards note the presence of 2 connectors for the battery, these need to be removed from the battery.
  4. Then remove the retaining clip that holds the battery itself in place. This clip needs to be pressed in and then rotated to allow it to be moved out of the way of the battery.
  5. Finally, You should then be able to slide the battery out from the compartment.
  6. Insert the battery and attach to the retaining clip, attach connectors and then slide the cover over to complete installation of replacement battery.
