SensePlayer – Battery discharge when during sleep/standby

SensePlayer – Battery discharge when during sleep/standby

Problem

When left in sleep mode the battery level will appear to go down over time.

Applies to

  1. SensePlayer

Resolution

  1. All rechargeable batteries will lose power over time regardless of any power drawn or mode the SensePlayer is left in.
  2. The SensePlayer can be put into sleep mode which allows the user to suspend the unit and then wake it up via the power button quickly when it is required. The cost for this convenient is that a certain amount of power is required to maintain its current state. There should however be enough power normally for it to last approximately a week.
  3. To extend the time that battery has charged the unit can be fully shut down which will reduce drain of maintaining standby operation. The unit will take longer to boot when it is next turned on.
