SensePlayer – Update firmware online (using Wi-Fi)

Problem

A customer wishes to check for firmware updates on the SensePlayer.

 

Resolution

1. The SensePlayer must be connected to a wireless network to obtain the software update. 
   
2. It is also advisable to have external power to connect for ensuring power is maintained during the update process.
   
   

1.       Plug in the mains charger to ensure you have a constant source of power.

2.       Press MENU keys and use arrow keys to navigate to Utilities > Upgrade SensePlayer firmware then press OK.

3.       Then press OK on Upgrade SensePlayer firmware online, a check will be made if the Senseplayer has current firmware it gives the option to reinstall it press OK to continue or Cancel to decline to reinstall the update.

4.      When the SensePlayer locates a new firmware update it will then immediately begin downloading the update file and emit a series of beeps and provide progress information. 

 

Note

1. When a new update is found the SensePlayer will automatically download, unpack and install the update.  Sound and vibration indicate is given throughout but may take some time.  Please be patient and not interrupt the process.
   
2. If no update is found the SensePlayer will give you the opportunity to download and reinstall the current firmware version.
