SensePlayer - T9 key reference

Problem

A SensePlayer user needs to provide text input for the unit they will need to use the numeric pad to input infomration.

Resolution

Below provided is a reference for T9 style text entry that is required for entering text into the SensePlayer.

Keypad

  1. The Senseplayer uses the numeric pad in a series of layers to aid text entry.  Pressing the # key rotates you through the available keypad layers.
  2. Within each keypad layer more than one symbol or letter is present on each key, repeated pessing of the same key will rotate you through those possible entries.
  3. Text input is not predictive, you must key in all the information.

Keypad layers

Pressing the # key on the bottom right of the numeric keyboard rotates you around the following keypad layers.

  1. Lower case
  2. Upper case
  3. Numbers
  4. Symbols

Upper/lowercase letter layers

Number 1: comma dash at dot.
Number 2: a b c
Number 3: d e f
Number 4: g h i
Number 5: j k l
Number 6: m n o
Number 7: p q r s
Number 8: t u v
Number 9: w x y z
Number 0: Space Question Exclamation mark


Symbols layer

Number 1: dot comma exclamation mark.
Number 2: dash tilde at
Number 3: Apostrophe Quote Pound
Number 4: Semicolon Colon Dollar
Number 5: Slash Question Percent
Number 6: Grave Underscore Caret
Number 7: Left paren Right paren Andpersand
Number 8: Left bracket Right bracket Asterisk
Number 9: Left brace Right brace Equals Plus
Number 0: Less Greater Backslash Pipe
